OGDEN — Police have identified a woman who was killed Saturday morning when her neighbor, who was backing out of a driveway, backed over her with her car.

BRIGHAM CITY — A man was killed on Interstate 15 near Brigham City on Monday afternoon.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. after a stalled motorist slowed traffic on the freeway, said Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson.

PHILADELPHIA — Two firefighters battling a massive blaze at a vacant warehouse on Monday were killed when an adjacent furniture store they were inspecting collapsed, burying them in a pile of debris, authorities said.

Firefighters: Resident who died in Colorado fire was told to go

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Three adults were killed early Monday at an in-home day care in a suburb northwest of Minneapolis, and a nearby college was locked down as police searched for a suspect who fled on a bicycle.

MOGADISHU, Somalia — An explosion Wednesday at a ceremony at Somalia’s national theater killed at least 10 people including two top sports officials in an attack by an Islamist group on a site that symbolized the city’s attempt to rise from two decades of war.

BRANSON, Mo. — A powerful storm system that produced multiple reports of tornadoes lashed the Midwest early Wednesday, roughing up the country music resort city of Branson and laying waste to small towns in Illinois and Kansas. At least 13 people were killed.

Teenage girl dies after inhaling helium at party

EAGLE POINT, Ore. -- Last weekend, 14-year-old Ashley Long told her parents she was going to a slumber party. But instead of spending the night watching videos and eating popcorn two blocks away, she piled into a car with a bunch of her friends and rode to a condo in Medford, Ore., where police say the big sister of one of her friends was throwing a party with booze and marijuana.

Horse caused explosion in hyperbaric chamber

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Authorities have released their final report on the hyperbaric chamber explosion that killed a woman at a Marion County horse rehab facility this month, ruling the blast was an accident.

Rescuer, snowmobiler killed when copter crashes

JACKSON, Wyo. -- Federal authorities on Thursday were investigating the crash of a search-and-rescue helicopter in northwest Wyoming that killed a volunteer crew member who was trying to help an injured snowmobiler who also died.
