Summertime -- a word most students have to chant all school year long while doing homework in order to get a little inspiration or boost. We work so hard for so long and finally summer comes and sets us free -- for three months at least.
But what happens when it seems you have become bored with your summer? Is it possible that you might be running out of things to do?
Well, now you don't have any excuses because the TX. teen staff is sharing some of their "must-do" activities for summer that you can try out as well.
* "Go to the drive-in," says Shannon Sousa, of St. Joseph Catholic High, "because it's something you can only do during the summer, and it's more unique than just going to a regular theater."
* Go to a camp -- art, band, yearbook, etc.
* Go on a date.
* Get some new electronics.
* Vacation with family.
* Sleep in.
* Eat lots of Otter Pops. They are "too amazing not to eat all summer," says Britney Follett of Weber High.
* Go hiking.
* Complete a video game.
* Camp in the great outdoors.
* Enter a contest.
* Go swimming.
* Volunteer for something. Jenn Ghan, of Fremont High, says, "Summer is a good opportunity to give back to the community."
* Go out of state.
* Get a job.
* Meet 12 new people.
* Stay up all night.
* Roast s'mores.
* Eat an ice cream cone.
* Go to Warped Tour.
* See some fireworks.
* Have a cookout, "full of friends and summery food," says Lindsey Larson of Roy High.
* Plan a party.
* Attend a party.
* Take the Frontrunner somewhere.
* Have a picnic.
* Play "Truth or Dare."
* Learn to drive a stick shift. "It's a good skill to have," says Megan Augustine of Christian Heritage High.
* Get noticed by your crush.
* Devote a day to shopping.
* Go to a parade.
* Have a random adventure.
* Enjoy a fun hangout with friends.
"Friends are way important, got to keep them around," explains Skyler Ryan of Ben Lomond High.
* Go watch a game, i.e. Real Salt Lake, Ogden Raptors, Salt Lake Bees.
* Go to a beach.
* See a concert. "Summer isn't complete without going to at least one amazing concert" says Sousa.
* Road trip anyone?
* Have your first kiss.
* Re-do your room.
* Hit the driving range.
* Plan a movie night.
* Perfect your skills for your favorite sport. "I love basketball and I need to get better for next season," says LaLaina Strate of Bonneville High.
* Read a book just for fun.
* Go to a national park like Yellowstone.
* Lay under the stars.
* Bake a batch of cookies.
* Take yoga lessons.
* Go laser tagging.
* Tell stories around the campfire. That's a favorite childhood memory for Michelle Pfost, of Weber High, who says, "My dad told us the scariest stories when I was little! I like being taken back to my childhood."
* Break 100 in bowling.
* Adopt an animal.
* Craft something (bracelet, necklace, etc.)
* Take a pottery class.
* Explore a nearby park or trail.
* Get a new hairstyle.
* Have a water fight. "What better way to have childish, selfish fun on a sweltering summer day?" Larson asks.

* Give to a charity.
* Run a marathon.
Sarah Bingham will be a junior at Weber High School this fall and is wondering how many of these you have done this summer! Let her know at Sarah311xo@hotmail.com.
