Fresh for fall

If the sun-bleached, dry flyaway mane of summer is feeling a little dated this autumn, a local stylist has some ideas on hair trends for fall.

Tara Taylor, a stylist at Urban Roots in downtown Ogden, suggests freshening your look by adding warmth, depth, and even length. Taylor and her sister, Jandy Taylor, also a stylist at Urban Roots, shared these photos and ideas.

Reds are always the rage for fall, Tara Taylor said. Red works as an overall color or as an undertone, to add warmth to blond or to brown hair, as seen here. Urban Roots also gets lots of requests for eyelash extensions, like these seen here on Jandy Taylor. Brides often request eyelash extensions prior to their weddings, Tara Taylor said.

Jeanette Smith of Ogden had dark hair for summer, but wanted a mix of lightness and depth heading into the fall and winter. Tara Taylor created this look by applying a combination of highlights and lowlights, with the blonds placed to frame the face.

Kayla Crawford of Ogden went for an endless summer look. Tara Taylor added extensions to lengthen Crawford's blond hair.
