Acting better in 'New Moon'

As a recently converted member of team Bella and a representative of the male species, I must admit that I did go see the second installment of the Twilight saga, "New Moon," and you should probably know that I have read three out of the four books as well.

Now this may be hard for you to believe but I was actually quite entertained by this flick! At first I thought it was going to be a sappy movie focused solely toward teenage girls, because that's what the book had portrayed, but come to find out there was tons of action which totally satisfied my needs.

Don't get me wrong, there WAS plenty of sappiness and if I had a dollar for every time I heard a girl scream as Jacob Black came on screen, I'd be a millionaire. I must also say it was very weird seeing the old lady a couple seats down get goo-goo eyes over a 17-year-old werewolf.

Compared to the first "Twilight" movie, I definitely think this was the better of the two. Just the acting alone made it much better; I don't know if Kristen Stewart (Bella) and Robert Pattinson (Edward) were forced into taking acting lessons or not, but something was done right. The actors and actresses somehow looked way better in "New Moon" as well. Their eyes were much more golden and brilliant (as described in the book) and their pale skin looked amazingly natural.

"New Moon" definitely followed the book better than the first movie did and I didn't have to keep making corrections in my mind over and over again. I could follow the story line very well and I even found myself on the edge of my seat a few times. I would totally recommend this movie to anyone interested in a modernly twisted version of Romeo & Juliet and Van Helsing and I give it a 10!
