But soft! What romance at yonder movie theater plays?

It is clear to see that true love DOES exist in the new romance "Letters to Juliet" and thank goodness for that! It's about time we have a movie come out that is ultimately clean and free of any swearing or sexual innuendos, and this one is it.

"Letters to Juliet" is a beautiful romance that stars Amanda Seyfried as Sophie, a soon-to-be-married, budding journalist who goes to Verona, Italy, on vacation. While there she comes across the Verona courtyard where heartbroken women leave letters to Juliet Capulet -- of "Romeo and Juliet" fame -- seeking love advice.

Sophie discovers a letter written to Juliet 50 years ago. Sophie writes back to the sender so she'll finally have a reply but doesn't expect to get any answer. However, less than a week later Claire (Vanessa Redgrave), the author of the note, comes to tour Tuscany in search of her lost true love. Sophie tags along as the two explore the gorgeous countryside accompanied by Claire's realist grandson Charlie, played by Christopher Egan, who is simply perfect in every way. He even talks in a dazzling British accent.

I admit it, I am a hopeless romantic and I obsess about movies like "Letters to Juliet." I enjoy every aspect of these films: the breath-taking location, the gorgeous male character and the desperately-hope-it-happens-to-you love story. I adore it all and this movie is above and beyond. Not only does it have all these things, even better, it has two love stories in one film. Could you really ask for more?

This movie, directed by Gary Winick, has all the ingredients to be a star and it is. Seyfried shines as the confused, yet adorable female lead and Redgrave is the most amazing grandmother in the entire world. She makes any situation completely genuine and real. Conversely we can't forget Egan, who is utterly fantastic at making this movie more believable and lifelike than it already is.

Any movie with the name "Juliet" -- as in Juliet and her Romeo -- is the movie for me. I couldn't help but sigh in delight as I watched this; it fulfilled all my romantic desires and left me feeling wholly satisfied. That feeling I get when the credits come on after the conclusion of the amazing movie doesn't leave me as I exit the movie theater or as I walk through the popcorn scented air, it doesn't leave me on the way home or even when I sit down to eat dinner. It finally begins to diminish as I lie down in bed and turn off my light. When a movie fills you with that much longing and desire, you know it's a good movie and this one most certainly was.

I highly recommend "Letters to Juliet" to anyone with the slightest interest in romance as well as anyone who needs a "pick-me-up" because this film is versatile. It not only has love but it also has comedy, and the gorgeous scenery will make you want to jump on the nearest plane to Italy. This picture captures the essence of romance.

When romance is the topic of any conversation, you hear the same thing: Life isn't like the movies; the things you see on television are not reality, etc. However, this film is unusually believable and leaves you wanting your own indispensable love story -- and I really hope we all get one.
