CALL FOR ENTRIES in the Brigham City Fine Arts Center's short film contest, co-sponsored by Salt Aire Films. Open to the first 30 registered; contestants must produce a 2-5 minute video related to a theme and suitable for an all-age audience. Theme and criteria sent to contestants by e-mail July 28; films due Aug. 4, and screened Aug. 6. Minimum $100 award, and opportunity to show film at the Salt Air festival in October. $15 entry fee. OGDEN MAYOR'S AWARDS IN THE ARTS, nominations being accepted to recognize contributions in dance, design, folk arts, literary arts, media, music, theater, visual arts, arts advocacy, and lifetime contribution to the arts.
