Family Connection: Sub for Santa helpers are needed on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1-2 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Duties will be assiting receipients with the application. Two or three volunteers per shift. Family Connection is also looking for shopping help on Dec. 7-8. It is estimated that the shopping will take place between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Shopping volunteers will meet at the store and be issued lists of gifts to select. Clearfield Community Church Day is each Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at the Community Garden. There is no need to call ahead. Show up with your family, friends and tools. The produce will be donated to the Fish and Loaves program. Call Susan at 801-775-9410.

Davis County Youth and Families with Promise is an early intervention/prevention mentoring program for at risk youth, ages 10 to 14. Davis Hospital and Medical Center in Layton needs talented and skilled volunteer pianists (minimum age 15) to play our Clavinova (Yamaha) piano located in our new lobby reception area. Davis/Weber Rocky Mountain Hospice needs volunteers to provide respite care, companionship, and assistance to terminally ill patients and their families. Access Homecare and Hospice is need of some caring people to volunteer a few hours a week. We have patients in need of companionship, reading, light duties, yard work and other miscellaneous duties. Call 801-475-7500.

Brookshire Child Placement Agency is looking for loving adults to volunteer time for fun activities and emotional support while children are in foster care. 801-334-6234.

CARE needs hospice volunteers throughout Ogden, Logan and the surrounding area, from administrative assistance to providing companionship to terminally ill patients. Weekend, evening and daytime hours available. Training provided. 877-344-8600.

Center for Grieving Children is looking for volunteers to help with our support groups, working with children and teens who have experienced death, divorce, or separation in their families. Come and gain a very rewarding experience. If interested please contact 801-476-1127.

Court Appointed Special Advocates serve abused and neglected children involved in the Juvenile Court system through no fault of their own. Volunteers are needed to serve as the eyes and ears of Office of the Guardian ad Litem and the court by gathering information about the child and the family, and most importantly, getting to know the child.
