Fun — with an international flavor

The first Worldwide on 25 brings world-class athletes visiting Ogden for the Archery World Cup, international dancers performing at various festivals throughout the Top of Utah, and local chefs together for an evening of performances and cuisine.

The food portion of the event includes booths from 28 restaurants lining the 100 block of 25th Street in downtown Ogden. In the middle of the block, 240 folk dancers from around the globe are slated to entertain and interact with festivalgoers.

There will be a wide variety of international foods on hand, as well as a beer and wine garden.

Tona Sushi Bar and Grill is sampling Japanese treats, including garlic edamame, pot stickers, California rolls and teriyaki chicken. An assortment of curries is presented by the Bombay Grill.

Jutta's Fine German Food will bring bratwurst and German goulash alongside American favorites such as Trudy's Poppin' Johnny Ice Cream and barbecued ribs from the Timbermine and Soul and Bones BBQ.

Roosters Brewing Company is providing free samples of its in-house brewed root beer and selling tastes of it popular Ahi Spring Salad. Bistro 258 is showcasing a pasta dish.

Two Bit Street Cafe will have foods from two cultures, with Creamy Greek Pasta Salad and Bierria, a Spanish-style stew.

Italian foods from Zucca Trattoria and Rovali's include well-known dishes such as meatballs and lasagna, as well as the more exotic porchetta sliders with a balsamic and espresso barbecue sauce.

For a little south of the border flavor, Sonora Grill is cooking up carnitas tacos and chips with its homemade salsa, and Carlos and Harley's is making portabella and spinach enchiladas.

Specialty drinks include coffee concoctions from Grounds for Coffee and healthy fruit smoothies from Dagonfly Health Foods and Borrowed Earth Emporium.

For dessert, Village Inn will be dishing up its pies, and there will also be fancy cupcakes from the Vintage Cupcake Co. and snow cones from Powder Mountain.

Tickets are for sale at the event for $1 each or 12 for $10. A menu and a map are available at the ticket booth.
