Community Blood Drive benefiting McCall Shepherd, daughter of Jake and Lea Shepherd of West Point, 4-9 p.m., West Point Lakeside Stake Center, 4000 W. 800 North, West Point. McCall was diagnosed in May with leukemia and is receiving treatment at Primary Children's Medical Center. She is 3 years old. No appointment necessary. Bonneville High School graduating Class of 2000's 10-year reunion at 7 p.m. at the Sonora Grill in downtown Ogden, 2310 Kiesel Ave. The cost will be $15.00 per adult. Bands for Babies, a March of Dimes Fundraiser, 11 a.m., Jessie Jean's Coffee Beans, 5128 S. 1900 West, Roy. Many individuals are coming together to help save babies that are born too early. We have three local bands playing: MonkeyShine, The SunJunkies and Remnance of Pangea, all donating their time to babies. We have a float being decorated by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Weber/Davis for the Roy Days Parade. There will be music, pulled pork sandwiches and lots of give-aways. All proceeds will go directly to the March of Dimes.

Family support groups are an important resource for families who live with mental illness. Knowing that others have had the same experiences is a relief to families who have seldom spoken about mental illness to neighbors, friends and often not even to their relatives.

Ben Lomond Class of 1955 will hold its 55th reunion on Aug. 27 with a golf tournament and lunch. The Mt. Ogden Rotary Club is selling rubber ducks for the "Rubber Duckie Derby" to be held at noon on Aug. 28 at the Ogden River (across from Prairie Schooner), which will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Weber/Davis as well as provide funds for the Mt. Ogden Rotary Club to distribute dictionaries to all third graders in the Ogden/Weber school districts. The club will sell the ducks at the 25th Street Farmer's Market.

Ogden High School class of 1944 will hold its last high school reunion. The event will be held at the MTC Park, 1750 Monroe Blvd., Ogden at 3 p.m., Aug. 28. A picnic lunch will be served at 4 p.m. A $20 donation is requested but not required.
