The center has a special program called "Pin Pals" to help newborn babies in low income families. Anyone may donate baby items for the baby baskets or make monetary donations. Call the center for more details.
Today: The porcelain class is at 9 p.m. Pinochle is at 12:15 p.m. There is a free movie and popcorn at 12:15 p.m. The Hand and Foot card game is at 12:15 p.m.
Friday: Active Care will give a presentation at 11:30 a.m. This is the last day for dropping off items for entry in the Davis County Fair. A case manager for social services will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Paper quilling is at 9 a.m. Wii Fit and Balance is at 10 a.m. Bingo is at 12:15 p.m. Texas hold'em poker is at noon but you must sign up to play. The ceramics class is at noon.
Monday: The rubber stamp class is at 10 a.m. There is a free movie and free popcorn at 12:15 p.m. Mahjong is played at 12:15 p.m.; signup is required.
Tuesday: The Old Timers will sing at 11:30 a.m. Medicare counseling is available. Call 801-807-9193 for more information. Lapidary is at 8:30 a.m. The china painting class is at 8:45 a.m. Pinochle is at 12:15 p.m. and shopping is at 12:15 p.m.
Wednesday: Senior Day at the Davis County Fair. There will be Bingo and an ice cream social. The art class (oil and acrylic) is at 9 a.m. Wii Fit and Balance is at 10 a.m. Bingo is at 12:15 p.m. and Texas hold'em poker is at 12:15 p.m. Sign up is required for poker.
Those who want to participate in the Davis County Walks 5K Walk/Run on Aug. 21 must register by Aug. 13. Seniors 60 and older are free.

Lifetime fitness exercise class is at 9 a.m. at the center. Bridge is at noon and shopping at Walmart is at noon.

Tuesday: The lapidary and silversmithing class is at 8 a.m. You can make your own jewelry. Quilting bee is at 9 a.m. There is a new computer class at noon. Square dancing is at 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday: Senior Day at the fair sign up for lunch and transportation to the fair no later than Monday the 16th. The bus leaves at noon. There is senior bingo and a senior ice cream social. The bus returns to the center at 3 p.m. The computer class is at 10 a.m. Bingo is at 10:30 a.m. Ceramics class is at noon. Line dancing is at 1 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 19: Pre-registration for the AARP defensive driving class is required. The class begins at 9:30 a.m.

Today: Get your dancing shoes on and dance to the music of the Bill Curtis Band at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch and prizes from the treat table. Senior tap is at 8 a.m. Lapidary/silversmithing is at 9:15 a.m. Strength training is at 10:30 a.m. There is a singalong at 12:30 p.m. and genealogy is at 12:30 p.m. Shopping is at 12:30 p.m. returning around 2:30 or 3 p.m. Shopping is your choice -- Smith's Marketplace, Kohl's, Target or Walmart.
Friday: Beginning tap is at 8 a.m. The stained glass class is at 9 a.m. Tai chi is at 9:30 a.m. The Old Time Combo Band plays at 10:30 a.m.
Monday: Senior tap is at 8 a.m. Aerobics begins at 8:30 a.m., Yoga is at 10 a.m. and beginning line dancing is at 10 a.m. Free bingo with fun prizes is at 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday: Tap is at 8 a.m., aerobics at 8:30 a.m. and lapidary/silversmithing is at 8 a.m. Woodcarving is at 9 a.m. Tai chi is at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday: Senior day at the Davis County Fair. There will be bingo and an ice cream social for all seniors. Senior tap is at 8 a.m. Soft aerobics is at 8:30 a.m. Ceramics class is at 9 a.m. Line dancing is at 10 a.m. The grief support group meets at 11 a.m. Bingo is at 12:30 p.m.
Menus
Davis County Aging Services luncheons are the same at all of the county centers and are served at 11:30 a.m. A $2.50 donation is suggested. Reservations should be made at least two days in advance by calling a center. Menus are subject to change without notice.
Today: Honey baked chicken, tossed salad, mixed veggies, scalloped potatoes, roll, cookies and milk.
Friday: Grilled Italian sausage, steamed cabbage, oven potatoes, roll, applesauce and milk.
Monday: Meatball sub sandwich, coleslaw, green beans, fruit and milk.
Tuesday: Baked fish, broccoli, potatoes au gratin, tartar sauce, bread stick, gelatin with fruit and milk.
Wednesday: Shepherd's pie, tossed salad, fresh fruit, roll, and milk.
