Heritage Senior Activity Center 140 E. Center St. Clearfield, 801-773-7065

The center has a special program called "Pin Pals" to help newborn babies in low income families. Anyone may donate baby items for the baby baskets or make monetary donations. Call the center for more details. Also volunteers are needed at the center.

Today: The porcelain class is at 9 a.m. Pinochle is at 12:15 p.m. There is a free movie and popcorn at 12:15 p.m. The Hand and Foot card game is at 12:15 p.m.

Friday: A case manager is available for social services fom 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Paper quilling is at 9 a.m. Wii Fit and Balance is at 10 a.m. Bingo is at 12:15 p.m. Texas Hold'em Poker is at noon but you must sign up to play. The ceramics class is at noon.

Monday: The center is closed for Labor Day.

Tuesday: The Old Timers will sing at 11:30 a.m. Medicare counseling is available. Call 801-807-9193 for more information. Lapidary is at 8:30 a.m. The China painting class is at 8:45 a.m. Pinochle is at 12:15 p.m. and shopping is at 12:15 p.m.

Wednesday: The art class (oil and acrylic) is at 9 a.m. Wii Fit and Balance is at 10 a.m. Bingo is at 12:15 p.m. and Texas hold'em poker is at 12:15 p.m. Sign up is required for poker.

Thursday, Sept. 9: The trip to Wendover leaves about 8 a.m., the cost is $18, register in advance.

If help is needed to get to a doctor appointment or hospital call the center and ask for Neal.

Today: Water exercise is at 9 a.m. in Layton, and tai chi is at 8:30 a.m.; the cost is $4. Lifetime fitness exercise class is at 9 a.m. at the center. Bridge is at noon and shopping at Walmart is at noon.

Friday: Trivia Plus is at 11:30 a.m. Water exercise is at 9 a.m. at the Layton pool. The computer class is at 10 a.m., ceramics class at noon and line dancing at 1 p.m.

Monday: The center is closed for Labor Day.

Tuesday: "Senior care and prepare" will be presented by Scott Meyer at 11:30 a.m. The lapidary and silversmithing class is at 8 a.m. You can make your own jewelry. Quilting bee is at 9 a.m. There is a new computer class at noon. Square dancing is at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Eat Out at IHOP at 11 a.m. It is $1 for transportation. The computer class is at 10 a.m. Bingo is at 10:30 a.m. Ceramics class is at noon. Line dancing is at 1 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 9: The bus leaves for Wendover at 8 a.m. the cost is $18 and must be prepaid by Sept. 7.

Golden Years Senior Activity Center 736 S. 100 East, Bountiful, 801-295-3470

Today: Breakfast for the Brain is at 9:15 a.m. The Bill Curtis Band plays at 10:30 a.m. Senior tap is at 8 a.m. Lapidary/silversmithing is at 9:15 a.m. Strength training is at 10:30 a.m. There is a sing along at 12:30 p.m. And genealogy is at 12:30 p.m. Shopping is at 12:30 p.m. returning around 2:30 or 3 p.m. Shopping is your choice - Smith's Marketplace, Kohl's, Target or Walmart.

Friday: The Old Time Combo Band starts playing at 10:30 a.m. Beginning tap is at 8 a.m. The stained glass class is at 9 a.m. Tai chi is at 9:30 a.m. The Old Time Combo Band plays at 10:30 a.m.

Monday: The center is closed for Labor Day.

Tuesday: There is a trip to Wendover. The cost is $13 which includes the bus, Bingo and treats on the bus, free buffet, drinks and more. Tap is at 8 a.m., aerobics at 8:30 a.m. and lapidary/silversmithing is at 8 a.m. Woodcarving is at 9 a.m. Tai chi is at 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday: Senior tap is at 8 a.m. Soft aerobics is at 8:30 a.m. Ceramics class is at 9 a.m. Line dancing is at 10 a.m. The grief support group meets at 11 a.m. The blood pressure clinic is at 10:30 a.m.

Menus

Davis County Aging Services luncheons are the same at all of the county centers and are served at 11:30 a.m. A $2.50 donation is suggested. Reservations should be made at least two days in advance by calling Autumn Glow at 801-544-1235 or Heritage at 801-773-7065 or Golden Years at 801-295-3470.

Today: Macaroni, cheese and ham, squash, carrot slaw, roll, strawberry shortcake and milk.

Friday: Beef frank with chili, potato salad, peas and carrots, fruit and milk.

Monday: Closed for Labor Day

Tuesday: Sweet and sour meatballs, rice, oriental veggies, tossed salad, roll, pineapple upside down cake and milk.

Wednesday: Tuna noodle casserole, applesauce, broccoli slaw, biscuit, brownie and milk.
