Layton Main Street Grand Opening Parade, 10 a.m. Join the Old Town Layton Merchants and UDOT and Layton City in celebrating the completion of the South Layton Interchange project. The parade begins on Main Street from Church Street to the new Layton Parkway. Parade viewing is available along the west side of Main Street, Following the parade Layton City will light the city Christmas tree, south of First National Bank, 12 S. Main. Multi-County Prescription Assistance Program Dinner and Fundraiser, 5 p.m., Nov. 20, Ogden Christian Fellowship, 802 2nd Ave., Ogden. Dinners will be sold at $10, with a chance at a prize with purchase of dinner. Proceeds will help provide emergency medication to those who cannot afford their much needed medication. Joann Berzett, a case manager for Davis County Health Senior Dept., will be giving a presentation on this program and its assistance to our community.

Layton Nativity Lighting Ceremony and Concert, 6 p.m., Layton High School Auditorium, followed by the Nativity Lighting Ceremony across the street at 448 Constitution Circle. The concert is being expanded this year with seven choirs and chorale groups performing Christmas carols. This is the fourth year the Nativity scene has been erected in Layton to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Annual Interfaith Celebration modeled after the King's College Festival of Lessons and Carols, 6:45 p.m., Nov. 27, Bountiful 13th and 53rd Ward Chapel, 1356 N. 650 East, Bountiful. This year's service will feature the Salt Lake Children's Choir and soprano Celena Shafer. Other highlights include Fantasia on Greensleeves by Vaughan Williams, a setting of the Sussex Carol by Dale Wood, and a handbell performance of Carol of the Bells. The audience will join in traditional carols arranged by Sir David Willcocks and accompanied by orchestra and pipe organ. Christmas readings will span the centuries, with selections ranging from 17th century poet Richard Crashaw to contemporary author Wendell Berry. Early seating is advised. This is an all ages event so bring clothes for adults and children.
