Skating club takes to the ice for show
OGDEN -- Need a way to get the feel for the winter season? Attend Wasatch Figure Skating Club's Christmas holiday show at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $3 per person; children age 3 and younger get in free. The show will take place at The Ice Sheet, 4390 Harrison Blvd.
After the show, all who attend will have the opportunity to skate on the ice with the program's stars. Skate rental is $1.

Fab 5 brings clogging to Christmas Village
OGDEN -- The Fab 5 takes its clogging talents from the stages of Hollywood to the stage of Christmas Village on Thursday.
The Whitear sisters, who grew up in Morgan County and clogged their way to the finals of television's "America's Got Talent" in 2009, perform at 6 p.m. that day in the Ogden Amphitheater, 343 Historic 25th St.
Admission is free.
Live entertainment is also offered from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, through Dec. 23, at the amphitheater. Christmas Village is open from 5 p.m. to midnight daily through Jan. 1 in the Municipal Gardens, 25th Street and Washington Boulevard.

Kids benefit concert helps justice center
OGDEN -- Children may like getting gifts, but they also enjoy giving. Some local kids are giving to the Weber-Morgan Children's Justice Center, by performing in a benefit concert.
The "Kids and Christmas" concert starts at 7 p.m. Monday in the Browning Center's Austad Auditorium at Weber State University, 3848 Harrison Blvd.
In addition to Ogden's Kids are Music Concert Choir and Choral Edition, audience members will be treated to performances by Energy Dance Co. and Pizzicato Strings, also based in Ogden. Adult performers include tenor Robert Petersen of Mountain Green and storyteller Vicki Crist of North Salt Lake.

Ice show glides into Bountiful rec center
BOUNTIFUL -- The Utah Figure Skating Club and South Davis Recreation Center present the Christmas Extravaganza Ice Show.
This event will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at the recreation center, 550 N. 200 West.
Tickets are $3 and children age 5 and under are free.

Puppets have stories to tell at libraries
Davis County Library patrons can check out some holiday spirit with an evening of stories and puppet shows.
The fun starts at 5 p.m. Monday when Utah Puppet Theater presents "The Lion and the Mouse" at the library's South Branch, 725 S. Main St., Bountiful. The show is repeated at 7 p.m. Monday.
"Angels in Training," put on by Your Imaginary Friends Puppet Company, begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the North Branch, at 562 S. 1000 East, Clearfield.
"Holiday Gift," a night of storytelling, starts at 7 p.m. Monday in the Central Branch, 155 N. Wasatch Drive, Layton. Families will be treated to stories, songs and holiday traditions from around the world, shared by county children's librarians Josh Johnson, Nikki Casey, Carolyn Myers and Laurel Pedersen.
