Chemical Romance love affair still strong

Do you remember the last time you heard a song by My Chemical Romance playing on the radio? Probably a few years right?

Yes, I know, waiting to hear their precious voices again has been pure torture. I have been in love with My Chemical Romance since the fifth grade.

Well, the wait is over -- My Chemical Romance's latest CD, "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys," is now available.

There is no doubt I am one of this band's biggest fans. "The Black Parade," their previous album, was released Oct. 23, 2006, though Reprise Records. It was a concept album centering on a character known as "The Patient," presenting the story of his passage out of life, death and everything in between.

"After 'Black Parade,' we did almost two years straight on the road," guitarist and founding member Frank Iero, 29, has explained. "To put on those costumes every night and to address those heavy topics took a lot out of us creatively and emotionally."

The band members faced many changes in their personal lives and felt it was time for a change in their professional lives as well. When they returned to the studio to record again, they decided to trade their gothic image with an idea that was fresh and new, replacing the darkness of their previous albums with a new exhilarating twist.

I received "Danger Days" on the 20th of November, which was two days earlier than it was released. That evening I listened to it nonstop, all night long. The album is so different, and exhilarating. My favorite song so far is "Sing," which is a very smooth somewhat relaxing song.

If I had to say I dislike anything about the new album, "Planetary (GO!)" is not one of my favorites yet. It sounds way too futuristic from their previous styles.

You will definitely think twice while listening to this album because it doesn't sound even close to anything My Chemical Romance has composed before. Although I love and miss their old, dark and soothing lyrics, it was time for a new chapter and new take with their band. "Danger Days" will keep you entertained and ready to party all night long! You never know what to expect from My Chemical Romance, but I can promise it will always be something crazy and unexpected their fans will rave over and never forget.

The original band members Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero and Bob Bryar (who sadly is no longer part of the band) are my biggest heroes and have inspired me to follow my dreams. I absolutely love their work and the way they deeply care for their fans. I feel they are the most amazing musicians and that will never change.

The band recently announced their "World Contamination Tour." When I heard the news I cried, screamed and jumped for hours, especially because My Chemical Romance will be visiting Salt Lake City on April 8! It will almost be three years to the date since they were last here, on April 11, 2008.

I can't guarantee you will be satisfied with a concert by MCR, but I can promise you it will be a concert that you will never forget. Get your "Danger Days" album, your concert tickets (while they last), and get ready to scream your lungs out because My Chemical Romance finally returns!
