Team and individual challenges are featured in "Face Off," which begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday on the SyFy channel on the local digital cable system, and continues for eight episodes, the last airing in March.
The reality show is hosted by actress McKenzie Westmore, whose family is "The First Family of Makeup" in Hollywood, says Dwight D. Smith, executive producer of "Face Off."
Judges for the program include Ve Neill, who turned Johnny Depp into Edward Scissorhands and Captain Jack Sparrow, and Robin Williams into Mrs. Doubtfire. Also on the panel are Glenn Hetrick, of "X-Files" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fame, and Patrick Tatopoulos, a creature designer and director who worked on "Underworld" and "Independence Day."
One contestant is eliminated in each episode, Smith says, and audiences will hear the judges' deliberations on-camera.
