Capsule reviews, by Standard-Examiner movie critic Steve Salles, of next week's releases:
GET LOW **** (PG-13) Some thematic material and brief violent content. Robert Duvall has given many great performances in his career. This is among his best. It's the story of an aging recluse who wants to throw his own funeral party before he dies. The reasons will surprise you. This is one of the best films of last year. Also starring are Sissy Spacek, Bill Murray, Lucas Black, Gerald McRaney and Bill Cobbs. 103 minutes.
DUE DATE ** 1/2 (R) Language, drug use and sexual content. A funny road trip is laced with Todd Phillips' trademark shock humor. If you liked "The Hangover," you'll likely have no problem with this film. I thought it had its moments before going over the edge -- quite literally. Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis. 100 minutes.

Also being released:
THE LONGORIA AFFAIR (Not rated) After Pvt. Felix Longoria died in WWII while serving with the U.S. Army in the Philippines, the funeral director in his hometown of Three Rivers, Texas, denied his family's request that Longoria lie in state because he wasn't white. He was also slated to be buried in a separate part of the cemetery, cordoned off by barbed wire.
RISING STARS (PG) Adult situations. Three musical acts compete for the attention of the nation, making the sacrifices required to achieve success and experiencing the high cost of fame in a celebrity-obsessed culture. The harder they work to beat the competition, the higher the stakes become as their personal struggles play out before a national audience. Fisher Stevens and Barry Corbin star. 90 minutes.
