Utahns shedding weight on 'Biggest Loser'

Utah residents continue to impress on NBC's "The Biggest Loser: Couples."

Denise "Deni" Hill, administrative assistant from Bountiful, broke through the 200-pound barrier on last Tuesday's episode.

"I want to be in One-derland too," said Hill before last Tuesday's weigh-in episode.

One-derland was breaking into the 100 pound numbers and Hill accomplished it by weighing in at 196 pounds, down 60 pounds from her initial weigh-in. She is partnered with her daughter Sarah Nitta who now lives in Las Vegas.

Hill, the mother of eight, said she is looking to finally take care of herself after focusing solely on raising her family.

Rulon Gardner, Olympic Gold medalist from Logan, and friend Justin Pope, from Logan, are also nearing the halfway point of the competition. Gardner has lost 103 pounds after weighing in at 374 pounds. Pope has lost 88 pounds in the seven weeks since the show's premiere. He weighed in at 277 pounds on last week's episode.

The next episode airs at 7 p.m. Tuesday on KSL Channel 5.
