The Ogden Pioneer chapter of Sons of the Utah Pioneers will meet at noon Monday at Comfort Suites Inn, 2250 S. 1200 West. The speakers will be Dr. William R. Egbert and DeLoss M. Eggleston, discussing 21st Century Pioneers.
Egbert is a native of Tetonia, Idaho, who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is descended from John Egbert, who arrived in the Salt Lake Valley in 1849.
Eggleston is an Ogden native who served in the U.S. Army and was in Germany when World War II ended, then served a year in the occupation of Berlin. He taught at Ben Lomond High School for 34 years.
