Willard special-effects makeup artist in 'Face-Off' finals

He's handled zombies and aliens, movie villains and gender swaps.

Now Utah's Gage Hubbard faces off for his last special-effects makeup challenge on the TV reality series "Face Off."

Hubbard, who grew up in Willard and now lives in Pasadena, Calif., is one of four finalists on the SyFy channel program, which concludes at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will receive $100,000 and a year's supply of makeup.

The 26-year-old graduate of Box Elder Community High School was one of 12 artists selected for the eight-week competition that began Jan. 26. He received praise from the judges in the show's most recent episode for his "disguise" of himself as a black woman.
