Grateful Dead concert in theaters
Calling all Deadheads: The Grateful Dead will be back on the movie screen next week with a broadcast of a 1974 concert from the Winterland Arena in San Francisco.
The concert broadcast also has never-before-seen interviews with Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir.
The broadcast plays at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Layton Tinseltown, 720 W. 1500 North, Layton; Newgate Tinseltown, 3651 Wall Ave., Ogden; and Cinemark Bountiful 8, 206 S. 625 West, Bountiful. Tickets are $12.50.
'Arctic Tale,' 'End of the Line' at library
WASHINGTON TERRACE -- The Weber County Library's Pleasant Valley Branch, 5568 Adams Ave., will be having free screenings over the next few days.
* "Arctic Tale" (2007, G), a documentary that follows the life of a walrus mother and a polar bear mother as they raise their babies, plays at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
* "The End of the Line" (2009, not rated), a documentary that brings attention to overfishing in the world and its impact on the oceans, plays at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
