Kiwanis to hear Peace Corps vet

Robert Hunter will share his experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in the early 1960s with the Kiwanis Club of Ogden at noon today.

The Peace Corps is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year. Hunter was one of the first to join and served in India for two years.

Hunter has filled many positions in the Ogden area since then including: Ogden city manager, Weber County commissioner and is currently the head of the United Way of Norther Utah.

The Kiwanis Club of Ogden holds its weekly meeting at Mount Ogden Grill and Cafe at 440 E. 4400 South, Ogden. To attend and have lunch, call Mike Burdett at 801-394-1521.
