Quartet of free films at library branches
The Weber County Library will be having several free screenings over the next few days in its branch locations.
* "Tangled" (2010, PG) -- Disney's movie about the tale of Rapunzel, plays at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the main library, 2464 Jefferson Ave., Ogden.
* "Disneynature: Oceans" (2009, G) -- This documentary about sea life and the crisis in the ocean, plays at 3 p.m. Saturday, Pleasant Valley branch, 5568 S. Adams Ave., Washington Terrace.
* "Carbon Nation" (2010, NR) -- A documentary on how solutions for climate change can affect the economy and national security plays at 7 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Valley branch. Director Peter Byck, of Louisville, Ky., will answer questions after the screening.
* "Dirt! The Movie" (2009, NR) -- A documentary addressing recent trends that are endangering the soil that is essential to life plays at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Valley branch, 5568 S. Adams Ave., Washington Terrace.
'Breakfast at Tiffanys' showing at Peery's
OGDEN -- Audrey Hepburn returns to the silver screen when the classic "Breakfast At Tiffany's" plays at Peery's Egyptian Theater next Friday.
Hepburn plays a socialite who is interested in a new neighbor in New York City.
"Breakfast At Tiffany's" (1961, not rated) screens at 7 p.m. April 29 in the theater, 2415 Washington Blvd., Ogden.

Layton Tinseltown to broadcast 'Memphis'
LAYTON -- The Tony-winning musical "Memphis" will be broadcast live Thursday at Layton Tinseltown.
The story centers around a white radio DJ who falls in love with the music and the underground clubs in Memphis in the 1950s. The performance is telecast from Broadway.
The broadcast starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Layton Tinseltown, 720 W. 1500 North, Layton. Tickets prices have not yet been announced.
