Volunteer with green thumb needed in Clearfield

The city is looking for a well-organized volunteer with a green thumb to coordinate the city’s community gardening project.

The Clearfield Community Garden is next to Fisher Park on 1000 East.

“This is a chance for someone with a love of gardening to make a difference in our community,” said Clearfield’s Community Services Director Tracy Heun. “The Community Garden coordinator oversees the project, which raised over a thousand pounds of produce last year.”

The Community Garden Coordinator will be responsible for teaching gardening workshops for those leasing plots, and ensuring that individual garden plots are used for growing vegetables and flowers for family use.

If interested in the volunteer position, contact Tracy Heun at 801-525-2793.
