Davis art students recently honored

KAYSVILLE — Davis School District students were honored during a reception at Zion’s Bank for their exhibits in the Gloria Nielson Annual Art Show for Senior Students from Davis School District.

The event is sponsored by the American Association of University Women, Kaysville/Davis Branch.

Students were presented with certificates, ribbons and cash prizes.

Students receiving awards include: Gloria Nielson Award Emily Kime, Woods Cross High School; Best of Show, Rachel Johnson, Davis High School; Best of Other Media, Luke Tuttle; Best Drawing Bryce Larkin, Northridge; and Best Painting Brianna Gotchy, Northridge High School.

Best of School include: Sydney Staples, Bountiful High School; Marissa Rivera, Clearfield High School; Sarah Mongie, Davis High School; Carley Randquist, Layton High School; Amy Beetson, Syracuse High School; Bobby Asay, Viewmont High School; and Catherine Levitre, Woods Cross High School.

Honorable Mention went to: Alayna Eiting, Bountiful High School; Tasia Jensen, Clearfield High School; MacKenzie Turner, Clearfield High School; Bradley Swenson, Davis High School; Boston Workman, Davis High School; KyRea Dalley, Viewmont High School and Elise Horne, Viewmont High School.
