Clearfield designates its CDBG funds

The city is dedicating the largest chunk of its almost $210,000 in community development block grant funds for an infrastructure project on 100 North.

A copy of the 2011 to 2012 plan was available to residents from March 23 to April 21 but it drew no comments. The city council recently approved a one-year action plan for how grant funds funds will be spent.

CDBG coordinator Stacy Millgate outlined the proposal for the 2011-12 program year, when the city will receive an estimated $209,000.

Of that, $12,100 is designated to the Clearfield Youth Resource Center, $9,160 for the Family Connection Center to be used for the crisis care nursery, $10,200 for emergency home repairs via Davis Community Housing Authority, $37,000 for administrative costs of the CDBG program and $137,000 for an infrastructure project on 100 North.
