Coats for Kids car show planned in Bountiful

BOUNTIFUL — The Bountiful Rotary Club will host the 13th annual coats for kids car show on June 17-18.

The two-day event, dubbed by organizers as the biggest car show in the state, will include a parade at 6 p.m. and activities on Main Street including a climbing wall, music by “Go Dog Go” and a burn out at 7:30 p.m.

Activities on June 18 shift to the Bountiful City Park at 400 North and 300 West, where the cars will be on display and food, games and activities for families are scheduled.

The activities begin at 10 a.m. At noon there will be a patriotic program and an awards show will be presented at 3 p.m.

Proceeds from the show will be used to help buy coats for needy children.

Rotarians work with principals at and teachers at area schools to identify children in need of winter clothing and vouchers are provided to school officials to help a child or parent pick up a coat, boats or mittens.
