Roy girl accepted for teen pageant

ROY — D’Mia Lamar, 14, has been accepted as a finalist in the National American Miss competition state pageant to be held July 15 and 16 at the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake City. The winner will compete in the National American Miss competition in Hollywood.

D’Mia will compete in the junior teen age division of the pageant, which is for girls ages 4-18. She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and the United States Achievement Academy and enjoys playing piano. She also plays softball and basketball and competes in track. She is the daughter of Harold and Andrea Lamar of Roy.
