Public invited to anti-crime event

Police invite the public to take part in the 28th annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event on Aug. 2. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for local anticrime efforts; strengthen police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals.

From 6-9 p.m., residents in South Ogden and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police and fire. Come join us at the 40th Street Park (east of the South Ogden Police and Fire departments) for an evening of fun and learning.
