Obama declares disaster in Utah wind storms, OKs aid

SALT LAKE CITY -- President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster in Utah following a Dec. 1 wind storm and is ordering federal aid to help recovery efforts.

Weber snags $13M in federal flooding aid

OGDEN -- Weber County is getting $13 million -- the largest amount of any county in Utah -- to repair flood damage from last year's record runoff.

Weber gets $13 million to deal with flood damage

 OGDEN — Weber County has received $13 million in federal funds to help repair damage from last spring’s heavy runoff and flooding.

Utah to get $60 million for flood relief from USDA

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The nation's top agriculture official on Wednesday announced more than $300 million in emergency assistance to 33 states and Puerto Rico to help them recover from an unusually intense year for natural disasters across the U.S.

Utah and Missouri will receive the most disaster aid, together taking in $109 million, or more than one-third of the $308 million in aid from Department of Agriculture watershed and conservation emergency funds, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack told The Associated Press ahead of Wednesday's formal announcement.
