When Bob Gubrud heard about a survey saying that arguing with your spouse at least once a week makes for stronger, longer marriages, he chuckled as he quipped sarcastically, "That must mean that our marriage is fantastic, because sometimes we have one a day."

The Edina, Minn., man and his wife, Rosie, have been married 52 years, so they're clearly doing something right. According to marriage counselors, their disagreements can help them iron out small differences before they become major issues.

ROY -- The man killed in a fight in a Las Vegas casino last week had his hands in his pockets when he was assaulted, his girlfriend told the Standard-Examiner.

Services for John Massie, 46, are scheduled for Thursday. The Roy resident was killed during a fight at O'Sheas Casino in Las Vegas in the early hours of July 6.

"I would like John to be remembered for the kind, loving man I love," said his girlfriend, Rachelle Weaver, who works at the Standard-Examiner. "He loved his children, his mother, sisters and many close friends."
