There’s no place like home for the holidays.

Dancers with Imagine Ballet Theatre are thrilled to finally have a home, which was finished just in time to rehearse for their performances of “The Nutcracker.”

‘Nutcracker’ turns father into Mother Ginger

Chuck Chase describes himself as a “manly man.” So he never imagined that one day he’d be onstage, in a ballet, dressed as a very tall woman. But when you love your children, you’ll do anything for them.

Imagine Ballet Theatre performs “The Nutcracker” six times over five days beginning on Wednesday on the stage of Peery’s Egyptian Theater in Ogden. Chase makes his debut as Mother Ginger in a matinee performance at 2 p.m. Dec. 18.

BRIGHAM CITY -- Fine Arts Center Entertainers, a high school student theater troupe, will present "The Will," opening on Thursday.

"The Will" tells a story of a group of strangers summoned to the mansion of Jock Muckhousen for the reading of his will. A lawyer informs members of the group they have to spend a night in the haunted house to win the inheritance. Each guest quickly devises a plan to scare the others into fleeing.

Magic of seasonal favorite unfolds at WSU

When a graceful Sugar Plum Fairy, an evil Mouse King and a passel of adorable dancing kids take the stage at the Browning Center, it can only mean one thing -- "The Nutcracker."

In 1962, the Ogden Symphony Guild presented its first "Nutcracker" at Ogden High School, courtesy of University Theater Ballet.
