Ferocious winds Monday in Northern Utah caused area ski resorts to close, blew off roofs in Tooele County and fueled a shed fire in Hooper.The high winds produced by a cold front entering the state also caused visibility issues in northwest Utah, prompting an advisory from the National Weather Service.

WOODS CROSS -- A flare-up Monday at Silver Eagle Refinery created a brief light show but was quickly put out by Silver Eagle fire crew backed by the South Davis Metro Fire Department.Woods Cross police released information about the flare-up that occurred just before 7 p.m. Monday.Officials said the incident was quickly under control.
