OGDEN -- It's impossible to predict how influenza is going behave, but public health officials are hoping this year's vaccine availability will produce a mild year for the contagion.

WASHINGTON -- With at least 170 million doses of flu vaccine headed to clinics and pharmacies, including two options for the squeamish and a new super shot for the elderly, public health officials are hoping they'll be able to immunize more than half of all Americans this season.
CLEARFIELD -- Davis County Health officials are reminding residents that the easiest, most reliable way to prevent the spread of flu is to be vaccinated against it.

BRIGHAM CITY -- Flu shots and flu mist are now available at the Bear River Health Department. Clinics will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the Logan and Brigham City offices.

Two doses of the flu vaccine will be offered: the regular dose and the high dose flu vaccine which the latter is recommended for seniors age 65 and older for better protection against the flu. Flu shots are recommended for all ages.
