Ken Jennings puts 'miraculous lump' to good use at WSU

OGDEN -- He came, he buzzed in, he conquered.

Ken Jennings -- the former Utah resident who in 2004 won 74 games of TV's "Jeopardy!" -- thoroughly trounced three Weber State students who challenged him Wednesday to a "Jeopardy!"-like quiz competition.

‘Minute to Win It’ offers chance to win $1 million

Utahns could have a chance at $1 million. NBC is holding open auditions for the "Minute to Win It" show this Saturday in West Jordan.

The TV show is a family-friendly competition that involves contestants completing complex tasks in 60 seconds for cash. They must finish all 10 tasks in order to win a $1 million prize. The show debuted in 2010 and is hosted by TV chef Guy Fieri.

Millions fall down hatch on new Fox game show

Not long ago, broadcast networks reserved December for Christmas specials and reruns of regular series. That is no longer always the case.

In recent years, this month when some last-minute shoppers are too busy to watch TV has been used as a breeding ground for prime-time reality shows. Last year, NBC debuted "The Sing-Off" in December and brought it back again this year with a live finale slated for 7 p.m. today on KSL Channel 5.
