Gas leak

OGDEN — Three homes were evacuated following a natural gas line break Tuesday morning near the intersection of Laurel Drive and Taylor Avenue.

ROY — Residents in three Roy homes were evacuated for just more than an hour Sunday night while a gas leak was fixed.

ROY — Sand Ridge Junior High School students were evacuated Tuesday morning when school administrators had a report of a possible gas leak.

OGDEN — Firefighters donned protective breathing gear Wednesday night in response to an ammonia leak at a business in the Ogden Industrial Park.

The incident was reported at 7:44 p.m. at Premium Ice & Frozen Storage, 1781 W. 2800 South, said Ogden Fire Department Battalion Chief Hal Van Meeteren. The business was empty at the time and there were no injuries.

ROY — The fire department responded to a gas leak at 6061 S. 1900 West in Roy at 8:50 a.m. Monday.

OGDEN -- A gas leak forced the evacuation of almost 200 people at a strip mall Tuesday afternoon.

The leak was called in around 12:05 p.m. from the strip mall at Harrisville Road and 200 North, said Chad Jones, spokesman for Questar Gas. Almost 200 employees and patrons were evacuated from the businesses, which include Harmons, Planet Fitness and Harbor Freight.

LAYTON — Six homes had to be evacuated Thursday morning, after crews installing fiber-optic cables for high-speed internet clipped a two-inch natural gas line.
