In October, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced it will build a temple at 250 S. Main St., Brigham City, directly west of the Box Elder Tabernacle. It will be the 14th temple built in Utah, and the first in Box Elder County.
How do you feel about an LDS Temple being built in Brigham City, and how do you feel about the location chosen for the temple?
"I was thrilled. I think it will be great to have the temple across the street from the tabernacle."
"I think it is great to have a temple in Brigham City. I think it is the perfect location."
"I was excited. It's a great location. I hope it complements the tabernacle."
"I like it very much. I think it will clean that area up. It will be an improvement. It will be nice to have a temple so close. They say that 70 percent of the volunteers in the Ogden Temple are from Brigham City, so it won't be hard to find volunteers for the Brigham City temple."
"The location is not as good as they could have found, but it's a good location. All the temples that I have seen are very pretty. I don't think it will downgrade the city in anyway. "
"I think the location is great. It is right by the tabernacle. We will be able to see the spires of both the tabernacle and the temple for many miles. I always thought it was going to be up on a hill. We are tickled it's going to be downtown."
"I'm excited. It's going to be exciting to have a temple in Brigham City, rather than going to Ogden or Logan. I think it will be nice to have it right in the middle of town."
"I think it is great to have a temple in town rather than drive a half hour away. It is in the best place really. You will be able to see it when you come out of the canyon. It is right in the middle of town."
