Many memories of Ogden landmark

The Ogden LDS Temple has meant many things to Dr. Brett Moyes. But nothing was quite as powerful as when he and his family brought a little orphan girl into the family and took her to the temple last year to have her sealed to them.

Box Elder residents ready for their own temple

In October, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced it will build a temple at 250 S. Main St., Brigham City, directly west of the Box Elder Tabernacle. It will be the 14th temple built in Utah, and the first in Box Elder County.

Full-time groundskeeper at temple has no trouble finding help

OGDEN -- Mike Keyes has been beautifying the Ogden Temple grounds for almost 21 years now and loves every minute of it.

He only has one other part-time paid employee to work the grounds and all of the rest are volunteers. Keyes figures there are about 25 volunteers total and about eight to 10 volunteers a day working the gardens during the busy seasons of spring, summer and fall, totaling about 300 to 400 hours per month.
