Imagination stacks up interest at the Gerrity Memorial Library

Book Bites: A book group will meet Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Base Library. Sign up and pick up your copy of "Falling on Cedars" for the book discussion. Books will be available for the first 10 people to sign up. Book bites is a book discussion club for stay-at-home spouses. Come for a lively afternoon that will satisfy your love of books and your sweet tooth at the same time. Chocolates and sweets highly recommended. Dewey Explorers: This group will meet Oct. 16, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. This is a fun and educational program offered every third Friday of the month for kids in grades 2-5. Put on your explorer hat and discover "how, why, where, when, who and what" at your library. Bound: This group is a library-sponsored program for teens. October's program will be held on Oct. 29 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. All teens ages 12 to 17 are welcome. Come for a spooky good time. Story Hour: This event is held every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and consists of stories, activities and crafts for preschoolers. Bring your little ones in for a free program that helps to develop and foster literacy. Heroes Tree: Honor the military heroes in our community by participating in our Heroes' Tree. Simply bring a wallet-size photo of your military hero to the base library where it will be placed on the Heroes' Tree.
