Theater students from four schools are coming together for one production as the Ogden School District's musical theater department presents its spring production "Once Upon a Mattress."

The musical, based upon the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea," tells the story of a feisty princess whose royal highness is put to the test by a cranky queen.

"This is a wonderful combination of theater students from Ben Lomond High School, Ogden High School, Highland Junior High School and Mount Ogden Junior High School," said its producer Joyce Wilson, who is also a member of the Ogden School District Board of Education. "We are having fun working with students from the four schools."

The production is directed by Jana Coates, a North Davis Junior High School drama teacher. Shae Wilson, an Ogden School District employee, is the assistant director. Costumes are provided by Ben Lomond and Ogden High.

The musical will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday and April 1, 2 and 4 in Ben Lomond High's auditorium, 1080 9th St., Ogden. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students; they are available at the door or can be purchased by calling 801-737-7858.
