Utah Families Foundation tournament set

OGDEN -- The Friends of the Weber/Morgan Children’s Justice Center will benefit from charitable donations made at this year’s Utah Families Foundation’s Golf Challenge.

Proceeds from the annual golf tournament, scheduled for Aug. 12-14 in Midway, will be earmarked for restoration of the arbors surrounding the almost 100-year-old Becker Mansion.

Davis golf tournament to benefit students

FARMINGTON -- Davis Applied Technology College students looking for financing to bridge their scholarship, and graduating high school seniors looking for a safe place to celebrate, are some of the many beneficiaries of the Davis County Commissioner's Cup golf tournament.

FARMINGTON -- More than 150 golfers teed-off at the 14th annual Commissioner's Cup, adding as much as $18,000 more to give to area youth education programs.

The final net tally for the Commissioner's Cup Golf Tournament, held Wednesday at the county-owned-and-operated Valley View Golf Course in Layton, will be tabulated within the next few weeks.

Golfers raise money for Habitat home

The seventh annual Golf Tournament sponsored by Hill AFB Company Grade Officers Committee raised almost $6,000 for Habitat for Humanity of Weber and Davis Counties on July 8.

The tournament at the beautiful Hubbard Golf Course offered non-military citizens the chance to golf on an otherwise restricted course and support a wonderful cause. All proceeds from this tournament will directly support a new home being built at 706 21st St., Ogden.
