Buildings at Hill AFB safe after bomb threat

HILL AIR FORCE BASE aEU" Hill Air Force Base in northern Utah says buildings and facilities have been found to be safe after an anonymous bomb threat was called in.

The base says it got a call at the main fitness facility Thursday morning targeting a fitness center on base.

The base says in a statement that emergency teams responded and evacuated the baseaEU(tm)s fitness centers and nearby facilities. The buildings were searched and deemed safe a couple of hours later.

Hill Air Force Base, which is about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, says the incident is under investigation.

Some areas on the base were being evacuated Thursday, though it was not clear which ones.
