Body of brutally beaten woman to be flown to Iraq

EL CAJON, Calif. -- Iraq's foreign minister said Monday that the body of an Iraqi-American woman who was found brutally beaten next to a note saying "go back to your country, you terrorist" will be flown to Baghdad as lawmakers in her native country demanded a thorough investigation.

SPOKANE, Wash. -- A group of Gonzaga students promoted sportsmanship at Thursday night's basketball game against BYU with a "Take the Hate Out of Hoops" campaign against Mormon slurs.

Suspect in synagogue bombing arrested

LOS ANGELES -- A man believed to be the suspect in the bombing of a Santa Monica, Calif., synagogue has been arrested in Ohio, police said Monday night.

Ron Hirsch, 60, who was wanted in connection with Thursday's bombing at the Chabad House, was apprehended in Cleveland Heights, the Santa Monica Police Department said.

Man accused of hate crime in fire at mosque

FORT WORTH, Texas -- A man accused of setting fire to playground equipment and painting graffiti at an Arlington, Texas, mosque in July was charged Tuesday with a federal hate crime.
