SALT LAKE CITY -- Four measles cases have been confirmed in Utah and one school district south of Salt Lake City has sent 66 students home who haven't been immunized.
Granite School District officials on Monday confirm 22 students at Olympus High have been asked to stay home until April 25. Two students at William Penn Elementary, 29 from Skyline High School and 13 from Evergreen Junior High also are being kept away for their safety.
Pamela Davenport, a Salt Lake Valley Health Department spokeswoman, couldn't say how many have been exposed to the virus. But she said the initial case, an Olympus student, had contact with up to 150 people.
The district used an automated phone system Sunday to notify parents of all 65,000 students in the district about the outbreak.
