Brigham hospital, H2U offer free screenings

BRIGHAM CITY -- Brigham City Community Hospital and Health, Happiness, You -- H2U -- will host a health fair from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Utah State University Brigham City campus, 195 W. 1100 South. The fair is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.

Free screenings include blood pressure, dermatology, bone density, podiatry, vision, glaucoma, body mass index and hearing. A blood screen (worth $200) is offered this day to nonmembers of H2U for the $20 annual fee to join the group.

Blood screenings for those paying $20 to join H2U at the event include blood sugar, electrolytes, kidney and liver functions, blood count, cholesterol, triglycerides and PSA for men. Those wanting the blood screening should fast for eight to 12 hours.
