CLINTON -- Kamden LaRose made a special delivery to two RC Willey delivery associates who showed up at his house thinking they were delivering an order.

"Hi, let's play," the 4-year-old boy shouted as he opened the door after the bell rang Tuesday.

Lee Parry and Fred Naeata thought they were bringing slats for a bed they had delivered at the LaRose home in September. They said they didn't recognize the name when they saw the order slip, but knew where they were when they pulled into the cul-de-sac.

Red Cross seeking hero nominations

OGDEN -- Heroes may be all around us: family members, friends, coworkers, or complete strangers.

The Utah Region of the American Red Cross will honor local heroes who have acted bravely in a time of immediate need, or who simply display acts of heroism in day to day life. Recognition will take place during events in Salt Lake, Provo, Ogden, and St. George during March 2012, so nominations are needed now.

Searchers found the body of Converse County Sheriff's Deputy Bryan Gross on Sunday morning about 1.5 miles downstream from where he entered the North Platte River.

Gross was one of several rescuers who went into the river after the girl on Thursday evening, in the eastern Wyoming town of Douglas.

Other rescuers using a canoe steered the girl to the bank and she later was treated at a local hospital. Officials say she wasn't injured.
