Police catch speeding man and woman

CLINTON — Two suspects have been arrested following a high-speed chase through four Davis County cities.

A man and a woman are being booked in Davis County Jail for failing to pull over and evading law enforcement, said Davis County Sheriff’s Sgt. Todd Richardson.

The chase began at approximately 12:30 p.m., at Fairfield Ave and Highway 193, when a deputy attempted to pull over a gold Cadillac that had been reported stolen.

Officers spiked the car’s tires on Highway 193, but the Cadillac kept racing with no front tires.

The car was eventually stopped at the intersection of 1200 North and 1000 West, when a Syracuse officer tried to pit it and the car crashed into a truck.

The truck flipped onto its top. The driver of the truck was wearing a seat belt, but had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
