RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Every Airman knows integrity first is the foundational pillar of our core values, and we all understand what it means. We will always strive to do the right thing and be honest in all that we do.

I also believe integrity carries with it the idea of consistency in how we conduct every aspect of our lives.

Recently, I took the out brief of an off-duty vehicle accident in which two Airmen lost their lives. It was a very sad and all-too-familiar story of Airmen who combined alcohol with reckless, high-speed driving.

Q Will the component weighting on the fitness test change? If so, why?

Answer: Yes. The aerobic run will account for 60 percent and body composition 20 percent -- muscle fitness (crunches and pushups) will remain 10 percent each. The component weighting was changed to incorporate science-based criterion along the health/fitness hierarchy as an indication of overall fitness. Aerobic > Body Composition > Muscle Fitness.
