Web site aids in getting the HAWC word out

Since the new Web site has gone up, the Health and Wellness Center participation rate for activities and classes has risen, says Patricia Cerone, Team Hill's Health and Wellness Specialist.

All base personnel who have access to the Hill Air Force Base Web site at www.hill.af.mil can click on the Health and Wellness Center logo in the center of the Web site, scroll down, and review three months of HAWC calendars, events, activities, and classes. Also included are links for the HAWC tri-fold Brochure, Air Force Materiel Command Civilian Wellness base policy letter and fitness approval form for federal employees, AFMC Wellness Web site, and the People Helping People Web site for Team Hill's military Unit Fitness Program monitors.

From the HAWC Web site, click on the AFMC Wellness Web site, take the assessment, print your certificate, and come to the HAWC to receive a free gift.

Future additions to the Web site will include a Nutrition and Fitness section which will host a variety of topics on nutrition such as 10 on-the-go breakfasts and fitness articles such as ski/snowboarding conditioning classes.
