Hill AFB gets four new chief master sergeants

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- The Air Force has selected 417 senior master sergeants for promotion to the service's highest enlisted rank. Of those, four were selected at Hill Air Force Base.

A total of 2,475 senior master sergeants were considered for a 16.85 percent selection rate. Last year's selection rate was 22.83 percent. The average score for those selected was 670.73, with an average time in grade and time in service of 3.03 and 22.81 years respectively.

The four chief master sergeant selects are:

Chief Master Sgt. Sean Jones, 649th Munitions Squadron

Chief Master Sgt. George Young, 75th Operations Support Squadron

Chief Master Sgt. Brad Buening, 372nd Recruiting Group

Chief Master Sgt. Matthew St. Laurent, 388th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron
