Bees to hold Military Family Night in season opener

The Salt Lake Bees will continue their long standing tradition of honoring the military during its season opener April 16 with a Military Family Night. Plans are under way to get tickets for military personnel and their families at the reduced price of $7 per person and more information will be published on where to get the tickets as game day approaches.

Veterans from all branches of the military will be recognized for their service in Iraq and Afghanistan. A re-enlistment and enlistment ceremony follow the game before the fireworks. Anyone interested in participating in that ceremony must contact Valerie Burke at (801) 777-7400 no later than March 30.

The commanding general of the U.S. Army Reserve Joint and Special Troops Support Command, Maj. Gen. Mari Eder, will be on hand to throw out the first pitch and there will be an honor guard presentation.

For more information, contact the 75th Public Affairs Office at (801) 777-5333.
